Good Shepherd Cathedral School successfully celebrated its 28th foundation anniversary last October 20, 2023 with the theme, “Blazing New Trails @ 28.” The whole-day celebration featured the annual School Fair and a concert in the evening.
The celebration started with the formal opening of this year’s School Fair through a paraliturgy led by the Catholic Christian Formation (CCF) Team. This was followed by the ribbon-cutting ceremony led by our school’s Assistant Principals, Mr. Marco Paolo Lovendino and Mr. Anthony Rapisura.
For this year, 19 booths that were creatively prepared by our high school learners participated in the fair. Parents also participated with their own booth organized by the officers of the Parents’ Coordinating Board (PCB). There were also food bazaars, fun redemption games, and inflatable that catered the interest of learners and visitors.
In the evening, the school’s first ever open-air concert was held in the newly-renovated Shepherd’s View located on the school’s rooftop. Dubbed as “Unwind,” the concert featured the amazing performances of GSCS learners in the form of singing, dancing, and band performance. The 16 performers include the band performance of VI Cups of Coffee, Aloha Milkyway, Payapa, First Kiss, Vaughan, and ABCFMY X Solstice; the dance groups Wanted and Evermore; and the solo performances of Sean Tapel, Reign Recto, Maiki, Alyanah Taguinod, Rujen Villagonzalo, Chris Interno, and Arriana. The highlight of the night was the special performance of rising singer-songwriter Maki.
It was indeed another momentous foundation celebration for every Shepherd!
